The KI Awards from the National Restaurant Association Show define the gold standard of foodservice equipment innovations, honoring equipment that increases efficiency and productivity.

Selected by an independent panel of judges comprised of industry leaders and internationally recognized food facility consultants, multi-unit executives, and design experts for the award, the ComplianceMate Smart Kitchens system combines a digital checklist with wireless temperature sensors based on the state-of-the-art LoRa communication protocol. Lower-cost LoRa outperforms Bluetooth when using rugged equipment like stainless steel deep freezers, as its 915 MHz radio signals can successfully penetrate the rugged materials present in a commercial kitchen with no remediation required. Simultaneously, the smart digital checklist enables users to complete more checklist items in less time, while providing cloud-based, above-unit visibility to identify trends across multiple locations.

Altogether, the Sensor Smart Kitchens system enables users to continuously monitor and record temperatures inside any cold holding units or other temperature-controlled equipment, while also adhering to HACCP and brand requirements. The system generates user alerts automatically any time temperatures go out of specification, so that users can prevent food waste and reduce the risk of food-borne illnesses.
